I once had a professor who could be very calm and collected through various topics. And yet, there were a few that whenever the subject was breached you could almost imagine her pulling a soap box out of thin air, placing it in the middle of the classroom, and proceeding to preach from above the controversial issues that seemed to ignite her fury.
This site is for those passionate/controversial topics. The tender-footed beware. Not everyone will agree with you. At best, people might only partially agree with you. However, we do implore that everyone is respectful of other people's opinions.

Sometimes everyone needs advice. I (Betina) have found that the best advice comes from Deb (usually at her kitchen table). Deb has had so much experience. From a single mother at sixteen who could only make spaghetti for dinner to an accomplished home designer and kitchen creator. I have asked her questions from food, marriage, parenting, and home decor. She is sensible and to the point. If you want an honest opinion, don't be shy. Read her blogs. Ask her questions. She will give you an honest answer.
